We heard that you had a lots of friends in Minsk, and you had lots of
fun with them. Don’t you miss those days?
Ah, youth! These were my younger days, you know how that works, and as for the friends, I’ve got many friends all over the world.
How’s the life around you? Do you take it more seriously, do you settled down?
Well, I’m not married yet, if that is what you mean. I train very seriously, and as for life itself, it was always serous for me as well. And as for life in New Zealand… no worries, mate.
Why did you choosed New Zealand as your second home?
New Zealand has got the most perfect training environment. Its remote, clean, green, beautiful and environmentally friendly. But the most precious resource New Zealand commands is its people, namely my present couch, teacher and friend Lolla.
What is your training program, how many times do you train in a day?
I will not go into details about my training program, what I will say through it is adequate and very physically demanding.
I do everything necessary to ensure future victories.
Do you have a quality sparring partner?
As I said, there are good people here, and lots of quality sparring partners for any level of mastership.
How will look like the old/new Ignashov?
I was 18, now I’m 31, now do you think it makes me more dangerous or less dangerous (Shaft).
What do you think about returning to K-1 in Budapest? We heard that you like this city.
I’ve been to Budapest several times, know many people there and the city is just beautiful.
What do you know about Poturak?
Any opponent that comes out to ring against you deserves respect. I’m looking forward to competing against him.
He’s a tough guy and will for sure fight with hard.
What is your career plans in the future?
To make good comeback fights and to become best K1 fighter out there.
